The wines you'll taste tonight alone are worth more than the price of admission. But to be guided through this journey by world-renowned sommelier, Anani Lawson, will certainly be special.
Anani selects wines for some of the world’s most discriminating palates, customizing and filling private wine cellars from the novice wine drinker to the multi-million dollar wine collector. He was the sommelier at world-renowned chef Thomas Keller's The French Laundry for over 7 years and was also the sommelier at Per Se in New York City from 2010 to 2012. During his time at Per Se, the restaurant had received the best reviews from Zagat, a James Beard Award for Outstanding service and The New York Times named Per Se “The best restaurant in New York City."
Today Anani Lawson could be counted as one of the handful of sommeliers to have worked for two Michelin Three Star-rated restaurants on both coasts, The French Laundry in Napa Valley and Per Se in New York City, one of the only sommeliers to have that achievement in the United States! Anani has had the fortune to work with a talented group of chefs and sommeliers from whom he garnered a strong work ethic, personal service, wine service at the highest level and dedication. An entrepreneur at heart, Anani is launching a new YouTube series soon to help wine lovers discover new wines by small producers and, along with some business partners, is launching a new mobile app called TIPSI, "Your Mobile Sommelier."
Time permitting Anani conducts wine country tours in California, France, and much of the world, sharing his vast network of wineries and relationships. He currently resides in the Napa Valley and performs wine director duties for Bardessono Hotel.
