Saturday, October 3, 2015

It's Fall and the season to unwrap new wines for you to discover! Join sf|noir and theREGISTRYBayArea.com again at our popular wine-tasting series at HUB Oakland as you sample over 50 wines and Champagne, enjoying music, culture and small bites while you mix and mingle with hundreds of Bay Area wine lovers.

Spend your early evening with us discovering and sipping new California and International wines and Champagne. The 2015 Fall Wine Event & Marketplace follows our sold-out premieres of the East Bay’s newest urban wine-tasting experience in 2014 which took place at Impact Hub Oakland featuring many Award-Winning African American vintners and celebrated wines from some of the regions top vintners. You'll also enjoy nibbling on small bites, great music with DJ Jerry Ross and viewing art in the Omi Gallery, all amongst your friends and fellow wine lovers back in the East Bay’s unique event space for inspired dialogue and community – Impact Hub Oakland!

The evening will also feature a Wine Forum with Sommelier, Anani Lawson who is one of the world's leading wine Sommeliers -- for years, he worked at Thomas Keller's French Laundry, helping guests find that perfect wine. Today, Anani travels the world seeking exceptional wines for his clients. Meet him and hear him speak about the wonders of wine discovery and how each bottle of wine tells a story and how that helps connect us to one another.

Also, join well known Chef Michele Wilson who will be opening her new restaurant, Gussie’s Southern Table & Bar in early 2016 right next door to the Paramount Theatre in Oakland’s Uptown District, as she prepares some of her favorite creations. Her culinary knowledge and insightful tips, combined with a perfect pour will have you refreshed and ready for the evening’s wine and champagne tastings. A few items on her menu for the evening include, Black Eyed Pea Hummus, Collard Green Pesto, Catfish Nuggets and Asian Noodle Salad.  She will be providing a live cooking demo which will consist of Bacon Corn Cakes with an Avocado Mouse.

Participating Wineries include: Boisset WIne, Cuddihy Wines, Dashe Cellars, Honrama Cellars, Howell Mountain Vineyards, Indigene, Justice Grace Vineyards, L’Objet Wines, P. Harrell Wines, Paradox Wines, Stage Left Cellars, Urbano Cellars, Virgo Cellars, Vinum Cellars, Winery SF and more!
